Halotherapy (dry salt therapy) is where 99.99% Pure Grade Sodium Chloride (salt) is ground and crushed by a machine called a halogenerator into very tiny microparticles. These dry aerosol microparticles of salt are then dispersed into the room. As an individual relaxes, the microparticles are inhaled. The particles penetrate deep into the lungs, bronchi, bronchioles, and alveoli to aid respiratory concerns, while the non-inhaled salt particles are absorbed by the body to combat skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and acne.

The Cave and the Zen Room offer the same salt therapy. Both sessions are 45 minutes long and $25 per person. The biggest difference is the cave is a 430 square foot cave with stalactites hanging from the ceiling, four inches of salt on the floor and the walls are made of chunks of Himalayan salt. The Zen Room is more of a traditional room with a Japanese Zen garden décor. The other big difference is that we offer the foot detox (a warm foot bath) in the Zen Room for an additional $10 but do not offer it in the Cave.
For the Salt Cave and Zen Room we ask parents to remember that Sól is a Spa and Massage services are being performed in the next room over. Infants and toddlers are too young for halotherapy. The child must be able to sit still and quietly for 45 minutes. If booking a Public Salt Session, the child must be able to not talk for 45 minutes to not disturb others. Some 8 year olds can do this and some 14 year olds cannot, so we ask parents to use their best discretion.
For the Sauna and Biomat you must be 16 years old.
For the PureWave VEMI you must be 18 years old.
For Facials and Massage you must be 12 years old and a parent must be in the room during service. When booking a Massage for someone under 18 you MUST call to ensure you are booked with a Therapist that works with minors.
The cave is kept at 70 degrees. That’s a little on the cool side, but we do provide blankets that are laundered between each session. Also. If you are looking for relief from a skin affliction such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea or acne, you’ll want to leave those parts of your body uncovered if at all possible. Otherwise, just dress comfortably!
